Indigenous Inclusion Policy

Indigenous Inclusion Policy

Roy Northern Land and Environmental (Roy Northern) acknowledges that Indigenous Peoples have inherent and constitutional rights within Canada, and traditional knowledge, values, customs, and beliefs.

Roy Northern is committed to working alongside the Indigenous communities on whose Traditional Lands we operate. Our goal is to build meaningful relationships based on trust, respect, and integrity. We believe that building and maintaining positive relationships with Indigenous Peoples will lead to mutually beneficial outcomes for Roy Northern, Indigenous Communities, and our clients.

Roy Northern will:

  • Continue to seek and provide work opportunities, training, and long-term employment for Indigenous People within our organization
  • Work with our clients to identify and promote opportunities for Indigenous Communities to participate in project work.
  • Provide support for events, initiatives, or other programs that support health, fitness, education, community and social services, and the unique cultures of the Indigenous Communities where we operate
  • Provide education to Roy Northern leadership, staff, and contractors about the history of Indigenous peoples in Canada.
