Meet Cher

Cher Batchelor currently serves as Environmental Manager at Roy Northern Land and Environmental’s Fort St. John, BC office. Cher’s primary role is managing all environmental specialists at Roy Northern’s BC and AB offices, and managing multidisciplinary oil and gas permitting projects and large scale environmental and multi-disciplinary studies. Previously, Cher served as Senior Ecologist and Project Manager with Golder Associates Ltd. in Fort St. John, BC for five years. Cher has over 20 years of experience in environmental consulting and biological field studies of natural, naturalized, and disturbed ecosystems in California and British Columbia. Her background experience is in biological and botanical surveys, including special-status species surveys; habitat classification, evaluation, and mapping; biological constraints analyses; wetland delineations and regulatory permitting; construction and mitigation monitoring and coordination; and preparation of environmental reports. She has advanced botanical field identification skills and a thorough understanding of vascular plant keys. Cher has a B.Sc. in Ecology and Systematic Biology from California Polytechnic State University.
