Location: Fort St. John, BC; Full Time Position
General Qualifications
- High School Graduate or Equivalent
- 3 years of relevant experience desired (mud rotary, hollow stem, solid stem, and Geoprobe drilling, sampling)
- Current Safety Tickets (a plus); Valid Class 3 Driver’s License preferred; Canadian Citizen or Permanent Residency
- Current Class 3 Driver’s License
Required Competencies
- Experience with Diedrich or Geoprobe track drilling system
- Class 3 Truck Driver’s Experience
- Superior attention to detail and ability to produce deliverables on time
- Ability to manage time and priorities effectively
- Strong commitment to health and safety
- Strong verbal communication
- Mechanical aptitude and field experience
- Receive and give directions, troubleshoot problems as they may arise
- Provide leadership, work under harsh conditions on occasion
- Strong commitment to client satisfaction
- Need to know how to install soil vapor probes, monitoring wells, prepacked wells, perform modcal and spt sampling
Responsibilities
- Manage, transport, drill and maintain environmental tracked drill for remediation/ sampling projects
- Undertake assignments that may involve travel and periods of time away from home/ office
- Working with a dynamic team of other environmental professionals
- Operating a geo-probe unit to conduct environmental investigations, and supporting other environmental consulting, engineering, corrective action and construction programs
- Opportunity to market environmental drilling services to local clientele
