POSITION: Environmental Administrator

 

LOCATION:  Fairview, AB

 

ROY NORTHERN LAND AND ENVIRONMENTAL is an expanding progressive surface land and environmental consulting firm with a special interest in oil and gas, forestry, mining, energy, and agricultural industries throughout Alberta, BC, and Canada’s north. We employ a team of over 70 staff members located in our Fairview, Fort St. John, and Terrace offices, and we offer interdisciplinary expertise to develop environmental solutions for our clients.  For 40 years, we have assisted clients in regulatory application, and have provided consulting expertise on environmental legislation, regulations, and guideline compliance related to project planning, development, and reclamation. We are looking for an enthusiastic Environmental Administrator. who is highly driven to support our fast passed Environmental Team in AB. We want your help to do great things!

 

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Must be proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and other MS Office programs
  • Bachelor or Graduate Degree, or completion of Diploma (Business/Administrative) preferred
  • 3+ years’ experience as administrator/coordinator; or will train the right fit!
  • Valid Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Canadian Citizen or Permanent Residence

  • Makes decisions of moderate complexity with input and review from senior staff
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Effectively able to speak to multiple people throughout the day to schedule project work
  • Ability to assist with the coordination of project scheduling, planning, logistics, and preparation
  • Superior attention to detail and ability to produce professional deliverables on time
  • Ability to manage time and priorities effectively
  • Well organized and ability to maintain accurate and up to date information
  • Strong interpersonal skills, verbal, and written communication skills
  • Willingness to learn
  • Desire to work in a team setting and with multiple Project Mangers
  • Strong commitment to health and safety

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Complete environmental-related administrative tasks
  • Provide administrative support to senior staff
  • Track environmental project applications and documentation
  • Facilitate the scheduling and coordination of field programs for multiple overlapping projects
  • Receive project request emails and delegate appropriately for further processing
  • Maintain strong communication with Project Managers and clients through to project completion
  • Assist with reviewing client invoices
  • Log safety check-ins for field staff
